We created a poster and button concept for the stations. The posters can be hung in all the stations and the buttons are meant to be handed out to "expert" students by the station instructors. This way, the station instructors are reassured that the "expert" students are reliable and responsible. Our goal with this is to create a clear communication system across all stations at university and to alleviate the workload of the station instructors, especially at the very busy times towards the end of a term.
After talking to Raymond, the coordinator of the material station, we noticed how important it is for him to have more people on his team because in the material station everything is connected to safety. When he gets asked a lot of questions, he cannot pay enough attention to the people who are using the saws, therefore he might not be able to call someone out when they're putting themselves or others at risk.
